[Introduction]
Imagine you have a toothache and visit a dentist. Upon examination, they discover a decayed tooth that needs replacement with a dental implant. Once you agree, the dentist captures your dental data—either as a scan or a die-cast model—and orders an implant for you. In complex cases, the dentist might also require surgical planning support.

At frog, I collaborated with the world’s largest dental implant manufacturer, headquartered in Europe. As an experience designer and researcher, I worked to improve both the user experience for dental clinicians and the operational workflows for the internal service teams.
Our goal was to not only enhance customer satisfaction but also expand the company’s reach to newer geographies. Their digital services are tailored for dentists and clinicians, enabling them to create patient profiles and upload clinical data in order to get dental implants manufactured or get more guidance on case planning. I was part of 2 scrum teams, each responsible for one of the company's most profitable offerings:
Digital treatment planning for dentists
Design & manufacturing outsourcing services for third-party vendors
#1 Building consistency across services:
The platform offered 15+ services, many of which shared similar workflows and components but lacked consistency in layout, button naming, and content. One of my main priorities was to help maintain and bring consistency between the major product services.
a. Conducted a comprehensive gap analysis of the platforms to identify critical discrepancies in interface behavior, UI elements, and content across services.

b. Cross-Team Collaboration: Initiated regular design reviews with UX peers working on adjacent services. Collaborating and sharing designs not only helped us be more aligned, but also saved time and effort. For example, while designing a success screen for the orders, I encouraged the other services which had the similar requirement to collaborate, give in their requirements, so we go ahead with an option that works for all the services and look consistent overall.
